common signs and symptoms of a stroke in people

- sudden numbness, weakness, or paralysis of the face, arm or leg - usually on one side of the body
- loss of speech
- trouble talking or understanding speech
- sudden blurred, double or decreased vision
- dizziness, loss of bakance or loss of coordination
- difficulty swallowing
- confusion, problems with memory or thinking problems
- a sudden severe unusual headache
- altered consciousness, seizures,fainting or blacking out
Questions to as a person if you suspect they've had a stroke:
ask them to smile to see if both sides of their mouth are even
ask them to raise their arms to see if either arm is weak
ask them a question to see if their speech
is blurred or unintelligible
if the answer to any of these questions is yes, call 911 right away
