    • Sloths are named after thel sin of sloth as they seem slow and lazy.   Their lack of hast is acutually for metabolic adaptations for conserving energy. Sloths actually have surprising speed during emergency escape from a  predator.  Sloths are also quite well known for their ability to grow algae on their fur.
